JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERY
JOINT REPLACEMENT SURGERY
Joint replacement surgery, commonly known as arthroplasty, is a surgical technique performed to replace knee and hip joints. This is especially true when the joint surfaces have been damaged for a variety of causes and are replaced with metal or plastic implants.
The primary purpose of joint replacement surgery is to enhance the function of that specific joint and to eliminate any pain or discomfort caused by damage to the joint surfaces.
Our orthopaedic physicians specialize in the diagnosis and treatment of hip and groin injuries as well as degenerative disorders, including complete hip and knee replacements for arthritis therapy and revision hip replacement when previous surgery was unsuccessful or deteriorated. We also treat groin discomfort caused by adductors.
