Brain tumors can occur at any age, though they are most often diagnosed in patients from aged 40 to 60. The survival rate for brain tumors also varies widely, depending on the patient’s age and whether the tumor is malignant or not. Brain tumors can cause marked personality changes, seizures and chronic headaches, fatigue and impaired memory. The most common treatment paths include chemotherapy and surgery. Brain Tumor Awareness Week aims to promote research, understanding and better specialized treatments for patients around the world.
