As the old saying goes” a Sound Mind is in a Sound Body”. Wellness is not merely the absence of disease, it is a continual process of growth and change, within which physical, social and mental well-being is the goal. Simple forms of physical activity can help us work towards this goal and here are two things you can try:
A short stroll: Walking has a positive effect on numerous aspects of physical health such as cardiovascular function, metabolic fitness and muscle strength. Almost as importantly, it can serve as a means of mental catharsis.
Tip: Try starting with a 30minute moderate pace walk and then build up the intensity and mileage gradually.
Interesting fact: A brisk walk at a pace of 3.5-4miles per hour can burn as many calories as a moderate pace run at the same distance.

A relaxing stretch: Yoga is a great form of physical activity, which can be performed almost anywhere, including the comfort of your own home. it is effective for developing flexibility, balance, and physical strength and when practiced regularly, it can help with stress management and mindfulness.
Tip: Try starting with a shorter 30-minute session, 2-3 times per week, preferably with some guidance from a tutor to allow you to perfect your movements.
